We are looking for Collection Head for our leading client with good microfinance experience

Job Description:

A Collection Head in microfinance is responsible for overseeing the entire collection process, ensuring efficient and effective recovery of outstanding loans while maintaining positive relationships with clients. This role involves developing and implementing collection strategies, managing a team of collection officers, and ensuring compliance with regulations and policies.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:

Develop and implement collection strategies tailored to the microfinance industry, including field collection, tele-collection, and legal interventions.

Team Leadership:

Manage and motivate a team of collection officers, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback.

Performance Management:

Set targets, monitor performance, and analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement in collections.

Compliance:

Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to collections.

Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks associated with collections, including delinquency, fraud, and credit risk.

Process Improvement:

Continuously evaluate and improve collection processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Budget Management:

Manage collection-related costs and budgets, ensuring that expenses are minimized while achieving collection goals.

Stakeholder Communication:

Maintain effective communication with internal teams (e.g., underwriting, legal, risk) and external stakeholders (e.g., borrowers, collection agencies).

Data Analysis:

Utilize data analytics to identify trends, predict outcomes, and optimize collection strategies.

Reporting:

Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance to senior management.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.

Experience: Extensive experience in collections, preferably within the microfinance or financial services industry.

Skills: Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

Knowledge: Deep understanding of microfinance operations, collection laws, and risk management principles.

Technological Proficiency: Familiarity with collection software, data analytics tools, and other relevant technologies.
