Job Title: Grab - Crane Operator / Generator Operator (Fresher)

Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical (Fitter) or Electrical (Electrician)

Experience: Fresher / 0–1 year

Job Summary:

Responsible for assisting in the operation and routine maintenance of power generators and associated electrical/mechanical systems during graveyard (night) shifts. Ensures continuous, safe, and efficient power generation as per operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate, monitor, and inspect diesel / gas / steam generators and auxiliary equipment.

Record operational parameters (voltage, frequency, current, fuel level, oil pressure, temperature, etc.) in daily logs.

Assist in starting, stopping, and load management of generators as per schedule.

Perform basic maintenance like checking oil, coolant, filters, belts, and battery levels.

Report abnormalities or faults immediately to the shift engineer / supervisor.

Support preventive maintenance activities under supervision.

Follow safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out, and PPE compliance during all operations.

Maintain cleanliness of generator room and surrounding area.

Work in night shifts (graveyard) and rotational shifts as assigned.

Skills Required:

Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.

Understanding of generator operation principles.

Ability to read gauges, meters, and log sheets.

Good observation and reporting skills.

Willingness to learn and work under supervision.

Adherence to safety standards and discipline.

Work Conditions:

Night shift (graveyard) duty required.

Industrial / plant environment exposure (noise, heat, fuel, etc.).
