Position Overview

The Pre-Sales Manager is responsible for effectively managing the pre-sales team, ensuring seamless lead qualification, customer engagement, and maintaining high responsiveness to all incoming enquiries. The role focuses on ensuring quality interactions with prospects, managing follow-ups, optimizing lead flow through CRM, and coordinating smooth handovers to the sales team.


Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Operations

  • Lead, train, and mentor the pre-sales team to ensure high performance and target achievement.

  • Oversee day-to-day operations including call handling, follow-ups, and lead management.

  • Establish and enforce process standards, call quality benchmarks, and response time SLAs.

  • Monitor team productivity, allocate workloads, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Lead Management & Customer Engagement

  • Ensure 100% acceptance of all incoming calls on customer care numbers and efficient handling of customer queries.

  • Ensure timely follow-up on missed calls, call drops, and call-back requests.

  • Oversee immediate entry and action on all leads received through various sources (digital, website, walk-ins, referrals, campaigns, etc.).

  • Monitor and guide the team in managing digital leads effectively.

  • Ensure real-time response to all online web chats and queries within defined timelines.

  • Drive appointment setting for face-to-face meetings, virtual presentations, and site visits.

Process, Reporting & Coordination

  • Ensure accurate CRM updates, data quality, and comprehensive tracking of all interactions.

  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly performance dashboards and share reports with management.

  • Collaborate closely with the Sales Team to ensure seamless handover of qualified leads and scheduled appointments.

  • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance team efficiency.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Graduation (any stream)

  • Experience: 3 years – 6 years of experience in a similar pre-sales or customer engagement role; prior team lead/managerial experience preferred.

  • Languages: English – Excellent verbal & written skills (Required)

    • Kannada (for Bangalore) – Excellent verbal skills (Required)

    • Hindi – Speaking proficiency (Preferred)

Technical & Professional Skills

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, digital tools, and MS Office.

  • Strong customer service orientation and listening skills.

  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.

  • Good interpersonal skills, relationship-building ability, and people management.

  • Strong problem-solving ability and multi-tasking skills.

  • High integrity, presentable personality, and team-oriented approach.
