Pastry Cook

We are looking for an experienced Pastry Kitchen Helper to join our central kitchen in Chennai. The role involves assisting in the production of high-quality cakes, tarts, mousse-based desserts, laminated doughs (like croissants and danishes), cookies, and seasonal specials for all our outlets. Candidates must have prior experience in a pastry kitchen, with knowledge of baking techniques, ingredient prep, oven handling, and maintaining hygiene standards. We’re looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about pastry work in a fast-paced, high-output environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and pre-assembly of pastry and dessert items as per standard recipes.

• Support in handling laminated doughs, batters, fillings, and garnishes.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across workstations and equipment.

• Measure and organize ingredients before production begins.

• Follow directions from the Head Chef and Pastry Team efficiently and accurately.

• Help with packing and labelling finished products for dispatch to outlets.

• Monitor baking times and temperature when assigned.

• Ensure compliance with food safety and regulations.

  Requirements:

• 1–2 years of experience in a professional pastry or bakery setup (central kitchen experience preferred).

• Basic knowledge of baking processes, tools, and kitchen hygiene.

• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a team setting.

• Punctual, responsible, and eager to learn new techniques.
