About the Role

Zia Art Salon is set to launch its flagship branch in Nungambakkam, Chennai, and we are looking for a talented and client-focused Hair Stylist to join our team. The ideal candidate should be skilled in hairstyling and versatile enough to perform other salon services such as hair removal, waxing, and basic body massage. This is an excellent opportunity to grow with a premium salon brand while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet clients warmly, assisting with bookings and consultations.

• Perform a wide range of salon services including:

  • Hairstyling, haircuts, coloring, and treatments.

  • Hair removal (waxing/laser).

  • Basic body massage services.

• Understand and follow client preferences while offering professional recommendations on:

  • Hairstyles and treatments.

  • Nail colors and skincare routines.

• Maintain detailed client records, service history, and preferences.

• Manage salon inventory and ensure availability of products and supplies.

• Promote and upsell salon products, treatments, and membership services.

• Ensure the work area is always clean, hygienic, and all equipment is properly sterilized.

• Keep up to date with the latest beauty and styling trends.

Job Requirements

• Education: Open to all qualifications (minimum below 10th).

• Experience: 1 – 5 years in hairstyling/salon services preferred (freshers with training also considered).

• Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong hairstyling, grooming, and beauty service skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to build client trust.

  • Knowledge of different hair types, treatments, and beauty trends.

  • Professional, friendly, and customer-oriented approach.

  • Ability to maintain hygiene and follow safety protocols strictly.
