Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role plays a key part in the preparation of financial statements, budgeting, audits, and process improvements to support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

• Perform account reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and variance analysis.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable, payroll entries, and fixed asset accounting.

• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.

• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance analysis.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company accounting policies.

• Coordinate and support external and internal audits.

• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

• Supervise or mentor junior accountants and provide guidance on accounting best practices.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and management teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

• CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.

• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or public accounting environment.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and MS Excel.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to meet deadlines.
