Junior Accountant

Job Description - Junior Accountant – TDS, GST & Accounting

Key Responsibilities

1. TDS (Tax Deducted at Source) Compliance
Prepare and process monthly TDS workings and deductions.
Ensure timely TDS payments and reconciliation of TDS ledgers.
Assist in filing quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q, 26Q, etc.).
Generate and issue TDS certificates (Form 16/16A).
Maintain documentation and support during tax assessments.

2. GST (Goods & Services Tax) Compliance
Prepare monthly GST workings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and annual return support).
Reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC) with GSTR-2B/2A.
Support vendor invoice verification for GST compliance.
Assist in resolution of GST-related queries and notices.
Maintain updated records as per statutory requirements.

3. Accounting & Bookkeeping
Record day-to-day accounting entries in ERP/Tally.
Handle accounts payable and receivable entries.
Support bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
Track and maintain petty cash, vouchers, and supporting documents.
Assist in month-end closing activities (provisions, accruals, JV entries).

Required Skills & Competencies
Sound knowledge of TDS, GST rules, and accounting fundamentals.
Hands-on experience with Tally/ERP software.
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to work with deadlines and maintain documentation discipline.
Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification & Experience
B.Com / M.Com / Diploma in Accounting or related field.
1–3 years of experience in accounting, taxation, or finance preferred.
