Role Description:
The Manager/Deputy Manager – Accounts will lead and manage the end-to-end accounting operations of the Plastic Division. The role involves responsibility for pure accounting, managing working capital, monitoring product costing & variance, preparing MIS, ensuring statutory compliance, supervising receivables/payables, and supporting the finance leadership in decision-making. The candidate is expected to be hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of independently managing the division’s financial operations.
Key responsibilities:
1. Accounting & Financial Operations
Manage day-to-day accounting activities of the Plastic Division.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of entries including sales, purchase, expenses, salary, and month-end provisions.
Maintain general ledgers and ensure books are closed on schedule.
Oversee reconciliation of bank accounts, vendor ledgers, and customer ledgers.
2. Accounts Receivable & Payable
Monitor sundry debtors and drive collection efficiency.
Oversee timely payments to sundry creditors and ensure proper ageing control.
Conduct periodic reconciliation with customers and vendors.
3. Working Capital & Cash Flow Management
Monitor inventory, receivables, and payables to optimise working capital utilisation.
Prepare and manage daily/weekly/monthly cash flow statements.
Ensure adequate funds planning and timely reporting to CFO
4. MIS & Reporting
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports for management review.
Provide variance analysis (budget vs actual) and highlight financial risks/opportunities.
Support CFO and Director with data for strategic decisions.
5.Team Coordination & Workflow Management
Guide and support the accounts team for smooth workflow management.
Coordinate with production, sales, HR, and admin for accounting inputs.
Ensure timely submission of financial data and reports.
