Role Objective
To lead and manage the Repairing Department by ensuring timely completion of repair
orders, maintaining the highest quality standards, optimizing resources, reducing rework,
and achieving departmental productivity targets while supporting customer satisfaction and
business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
1. Repair Operations Management
• Plan, prioritize, and monitor all repair orders.
• Manage activities such as ring sizing, stone replacement, re-setting, soldering, polishing,
rhodium plating, chain repair, and other jewellery repair processes.
• Ensure on-time completion of urgent and priority repair orders.
• Monitor and improve Repair Turnaround Time (TAT).
2. Quality Management
• Ensure all repaired jewellery meets company quality standards before dispatch.
• Verify diamond security, setting quality, finishing, and overall product durability.
• Analyze repair failures and implement corrective actions to reduce rework and customer
complaints.
3. Team Leadership & Development
• Lead and manage the repairing team, including setters, polishers, goldsmiths, and repair
technicians.
• Allocate daily work and monitor team productivity.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and skill development to team members.
• Conduct performance reviews and maintain discipline within the department.
4. Process Improvement
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for repair activities.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance.
5. Cross-Functional Coordination
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Customer Service, Merchandising, and Design teams.
• Support resolution of complex repair issues and customer complaints.
• Ensure smooth communication and workflow between departments.
6. Inventory & Material Control
• Monitor usage of diamonds, findings, consumables, and repair materials.
• Control gold loss and diamond loss within approved standards.
• Ensure proper tracking and recovery of scrap generated during repair activities.
7. Reporting & Performance Monitoring
• Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly repair reports.
• Monitor departmental KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.
• Maintain accurate records of pending repairs, productivity, rework, and material losses.

Experience
• 5 to 8 years of experience in the Diamond Jewellery Manufacturing industry.
• Strong experience in jewellery production and repairing operations.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of team handling experience in the Production Department.
• Experience in production planning, manpower management, quality control, and process
improvement.
• Good understanding of diamond jewellery manufacturing processes, setting, polishing,
assembly, and repair activities.
• Experience with ERP systems, production reporting, and KPI monitoring will be an added
advantage.

Educational Qualification
• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field
preferred.
• Relevant jewellery manufacturing certifications will be an added advantage.
