This is a Series A-funded, Bengaluru-based quick-commerce startup doing something genuinely new — delivering construction and interior materials (cement, plywood, wiring, hardware, and more) to job sites in under 60 minutes. They operate across a network of dark stores and a central distribution centre, serving contractors, interior designers, and builders who can't afford delays. They've moved fast, grown to 6 dark stores in Bengaluru, and are backed to scale further. The Role Last-mile logistics is the spine of this business. A customer orders 10 bags of cement — it needs to be at their site within the hour. That only works if the transport supply layer is reliable, scalable, and well-managed. This is a 0-to-1 role: the transport supply function does not yet exist in its full form, and you will build it. You'll own vendor relationships, fleet availability, vehicle allocation across all 6 dark stores and the DC, and the operational rhythm that keeps deliveries on time. What You'll Do • Scout, evaluate, and onboard transport vendors/ VOC supplying 3-wheelers, Tata Ace, Bolero Pickups, and other LCV/SCV vehicles across Bengaluru. • Build a ready fleet pipeline so vehicle availability is never a bottleneck — across 6 dark stores and 1 DC from day one. • Own daily vehicle allocation — match the right vehicle type and capacity to each dark store's live demand. • Track vendor performance obsessively: on-time rates, vehicle condition, driver reliability, cost per trip. • Renegotiate rates and contracts as order volume grows — keep unit economics sharp without sacrificing service quality. • Work closely with dark store ops teams to anticipate demand surges and pre-position transport supply ahead of time. • Identify and close coverage gaps before they cause delivery failures — proactively, not reactively. • Build vendor relationships strong enough to guarantee priority access during festive peaks and high-demand periods.
