Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Restaurant Captain to supervise the service team and ensure smooth restaurant operations. The Captain will be responsible for guest service, team coordination, table management, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet guests professionally and provide excellent customer service.

• Supervise Waiters, Stewards, and other service staff during the shift.

• Allocate tables and duties to service staff.

• Ensure smooth and timely food and beverage service.

• Take guest orders accurately and communicate them to the kitchen/bar team.

• Explain menu items, ingredients, and recommendations to guests when required.

• Ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and restaurant presentation.

• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the dining experience.

• Handle customer complaints politely and escalate major issues to the Restaurant Manager.

• Coordinate with the kitchen and bar team to ensure timely order delivery.

• Check food presentation and service standards before serving guests.

• Ensure proper billing and payment procedures.

• Upsell food and beverage items wherever appropriate.

• Monitor restaurant cleanliness, hygiene, grooming, and staff discipline.

• Conduct pre-shift briefings and communicate daily instructions to the service team.

• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and performance.

• Ensure compliance with restaurant SOPs and service standards.

• Assist the Restaurant Manager in daily operations and staff coordination.

• Support special events, promotions, and high-volume service periods.

• Maintain a professional and positive working environment.

Qualification & Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in restaurant/hospitality operations.

• Previous experience as a Restaurant Captain / Senior Steward / Team Leader preferred.

• Experience in Pan Asian, Asian, Fine Dining, Casual Dining, or Premium Restaurants will be an advantage.

• Hotel Management / Hospitality qualification preferred.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on experience and interview performance.

• It is a Full Time Waiter / Steward job for candidates with 2 - 6 years of experience.
