Key responsibilities

• Review and select the best shots from raw footage.

• Use editing software to cut, splice, and arrange video clips into a coherent story.

• Integrate and edit audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects.

• Add and create graphics, titles, and special effects.

• Collaborate with directors and creative teams to understand project goals and incorporate feedback.

• Ensure continuity and flow throughout the video.

• Perform color correction and adjust lighting as needed.

• Prepare final cuts and deliver projects by their deadlines.

• Organize and maintain video files and libraries.

Required skills and qualifications

• Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).

• Strong understanding of video editing principles, including storytelling, pacing, and continuity.

• Knowledge of audio editing and mixing.

• Familiarity with graphic design and special effects is often a plus.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
