Academic Counsellor

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one academic counselling to students regarding program selection, course planning, and career goals.

• Advise students on eligibility, admission procedures, academic policies, and curriculum requirements.

• Follow up with leads generated through various channels such as online platforms, walk-ins, or referrals.

• Assess student interests, aptitudes, and aspirations to suggest appropriate academic pathways.

• Maintain student records and counselling session reports accurately and confidentially.

• Assist with enrolment and orientation processes for new students.

• Coordinate with faculty and academic departments to resolve student concerns.

• Conduct group counselling sessions, webinars, and information sessions for academic awareness.

• Stay updated with changes in course offerings, institutional policies, and educational trends.

• Provide support in developing and implementing student retention strategies.

• Strong organizational and documentation skills

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and meet targets

• Familiarity with academic systems and career counselling tools

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

• 1–3 years of experience in academic counselling or educational guidance roles

• Certification in career or academic counselling (preferred)
