Technician

Role and Responsibility:

• Perform machining operations on conventional machines (lathe, milling, drilling, shaping, etc.) as per job requirements.

• Set up, operate, and maintain machines to ensure accuracy and quality.

• Carry out surface grinding operations (preferred).

• Interpret and work from engineering drawings and job instructions.

• Ensure adherence to dimensional accuracy and surface finish standards.

• Maintain tools, machines, and workplace cleanliness.

• Follow safety protocols and company procedures.

• Support tool room or production teams as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or related trade.

• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in conventional machining.

• Experience in Surface Grinding is highly desirable.

• Good understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and measuring instruments.

• Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Attributes:

• Experience in tool room or precision component manufacturing.

• Familiarity with machining of tool steels and hard materials.

• Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance.
