Warehouse Supervisor

A Warehouse Receiving Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the receipt and processing of incoming goods at a warehouse, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety. They manage the receiving team, coordinate with suppliers and carriers, and maintain accurate inventory records. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising Receiving Operations:

  Direct the team in receiving, unloading, and inspecting incoming shipments. 

• Inventory Management:

  Ensure accurate inventory records, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain appropriate stock levels. 

• Communication:

  Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and other departments to ensure smooth operations. 

• Safety Compliance:

  Enforce safety regulations and procedures within the receiving area. 

• Process Improvement:

  Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. 

• Team Management:

  Train, supervise, and evaluate team members to ensure they meet performance standards. 

• Documentation:

  Maintain accurate records of all receiving activities, including shipment details and inventory adjustments. 

• Reporting:

  Generate reports on receiving metrics, performance, and issues to management. 

• Quality Control:

  Ensure the quality and accuracy of incoming goods by inspecting them and resolving any discrepancies. 

• Conflict Resolution:

  Address and resolve any issues that may arise during the receiving process, whether with suppliers, staff, or inventory. 

• Cost Control:

  Monitor and control receiving costs to ensure budget compliance
