The Transport Manager will be responsible for managing and overseeing end-to-end transportation operations for a coal trading company. The role involves coordinating with drivers, transporters, and regulatory authorities to ensure safe, timely, and compliant movement of coal and Briquette consignments. The candidate should be capable of independently handling transport activities from the office and ensuring operational efficiency 24×7.

Key Responsibilities

Transport Operations Management

• Lead and manage daily transportation activities for coal and Briquette dispatch and delivery.

• Coordinate vehicle allocation, route planning, and dispatch schedules.

• Monitor shipment movement and ensure timely delivery to customers/sites.

• Handle transport documentation and operational coordination from a central office location.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Communicate effectively with drivers, transport vendors, and fleet operators.

• Liaise with police and local authorities for movement permissions, compliance, and issue resolution.

• Maintain strong relationships with transport partners to ensure availability and reliability.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to transport regulations, safety norms, and statutory requirements.

• Handle operational issues such as delays, breakdowns, and route challenges.

• Maintain records related to transport activities and operational reports.

Communication & Supervision

• Provide instructions and operational support to drivers and transport teams.

• Manage real-time communication to resolve on-road and dispatch-related concerns.

• Ensure smooth coordination between office, transporters, and field teams.

Candidate Requirements

Experience

• Proven experience in transport operations, logistics, or fleet management.

• Prior exposure to coal, Briquette , mining, bulk material, or heavy logistics industry preferred.

• Accounting knowledge not mandatory; role is operations-focused.

Skills

• Strong operational and coordination skills.

• Ability to handle high-pressure logistics situations.

• Good problem-solving and decision-making ability.

• Proficiency in Hindi and Marathi communication is essential.

• It is a Full Time గిడ్డంగి / లాజిస్టిక్స్ job for candidates with 3 - 6+ years Experience.
