Job Title: Dispatch Executive – Logistics

Department: Logistics / Supply Chain

Reporting To: Logistics Manager / Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Dispatch Executive is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and monitoring the dispatch of goods to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. The role involves managing transportation, documentation, and communication between warehouse, drivers, and customers to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily dispatch activities.

Ensure timely delivery of goods as per customer requirements.

Prepare and verify dispatch documentation (invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, LRs, etc.).

Coordinate with warehouse staff for order picking, packing, and loading.

Assign vehicles and drivers based on route planning and delivery schedules.

Monitor shipment status and update internal teams/customers regularly.

Maintain records of dispatched shipments and transportation costs.

Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.

Resolve delivery-related issues, delays, or discrepancies.

Maintain proper communication with transporters and third-party logistics providers.

Required Skills & Competencies

Good knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.

Strong coordination and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple dispatches simultaneously.

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Logistics software.

Basic understanding of transportation documentation and compliance.

Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree.

Freshers with relevant internship experience may also apply.
