About the Role

Digital Bhartia School is looking for a Career Counsellor to guide students and working professionals in choosing the right courses and career paths in the field of Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, Data Science, Technology and other professional skill-development programs.

The selected candidate will be responsible for understanding prospective students' career goals, explaining suitable courses, following up with enquiries, maintaining lead and student records, and supporting the admissions process.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and counselling skills, a positive attitude, strong follow-up abilities and an interest in education, training and career development.

Key Responsibilities

Counsel prospective students and working professionals regarding available courses and career opportunities.

Understand a student's education, experience, interests, career goals and learning requirements.

Recommend suitable courses based on the candidate's career objectives and eligibility.

Explain course curriculum, duration, fees, learning methodology, certification, career opportunities and other relevant details.

Handle enquiries received through phone calls, WhatsApp, website, social media, online forms and other channels.

Follow up with prospective students through calls, WhatsApp and other appropriate communication channels.

Maintain accurate records of leads, counselling interactions, follow-ups and admissions.

Update and manage student/lead information in CRM systems, Google Sheets or other internal tools.

Track follow-up schedules and ensure that prospective students receive timely communication.

Convert qualified enquiries into course admissions through effective counselling and relationship management.

Coordinate with the academic and admissions teams to ensure a smooth student onboarding process.

Assist students with course-related queries before and during the admission process.

Maintain confidentiality of student and prospect information.

Prepare daily/weekly reports related to enquiries, follow-ups, counselling and admissions.

Identify common student concerns and provide feedback to the management team.

Maintain a professional and positive relationship with students and parents.

Participate in counselling activities, seminars, workshops, career events and admission campaigns when required.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum qualification: Graduate or above.

6 months – 5 years of experience in career counselling, education counselling, inside sales, admissions, tele-calling or a related role.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and counselling abilities.

Good listening and convincing skills.

Ability to understand student requirements and recommend appropriate courses.

Strong follow-up and lead-management skills.

Comfortable communicating with students and working professionals over phone and WhatsApp.

Basic knowledge of computers, Google Workspace and MS Office.

Ability to maintain accurate records and update CRM/lead management systems.

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple enquiries and follow-ups simultaneously.
