Key Responsibilities
Technical Consultation & Solution Design: Partner with prospective clients (Engineering Heads, R&D Managers, Procurement) to analyze technical challenges, evaluate project specifications, and architect tailored engineering solutions.
Demos & Presentations: Lead persuasive technical presentations, product/process demonstrations, and feasibility analyses to demonstrate clear technical advantage and ROI.
Proposal & RFP Management: Own the technical response for RFPs, RFQs, and formal proposals—collaborating with internal design/manufacturing teams to define scope, Bill of Materials (BOM), project timelines, and cost estimates.
Account Development & Closing: Manage the full sales cycle for technical accounts, from technical qualification to commercial negotiation and closing.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the technical voice of the customer to internal R&D and engineering teams to ensure seamless project handoff and execution.
Client Relationship Management: Build long-term trust with technical decision-makers and provide ongoing pre-sales support to expand business within existing accounts.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or relevant Engineering discipline.
Experience: 1–5 years of experience in sales engineering, technical pre-sales, or application engineering within engineering services, manufacturing, or industrial equipment.
Technical Aptitude: Strong ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing specifications; familiarity with CAD/CAE tools or domain-specific engineering software is highly preferred.
Sales Acumen: Proven track record in consultative selling, solution pitching, RFP handling, and pipeline management.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders.
