Role Summary
The Admission Counselor is responsible for managing the student enrollment process, including promoting the Music school to prospective families, guiding them through the admission process, and ensuring a positive experience. The role involves engaging with parents, evaluating applications, and collaborating with school staff to maintain enrollment targets.
Key Responsibilities
• Student Recruitment and Outreach:
• Develop and implement strategies to attract prospective students.
• Represent the Music school at fairs, open houses, and community events.
• Build relationships with local feeder Music school , parents, and educational organizations.
• Counseling and Support:
• Provide one-on-one counseling to prospective families about Music school programs, values, and admission criteria.
• Address inquiries and concerns promptly via email, phone, and in-person meetings.
• Admission Process Management:
• Guide families through the application process, from inquiry to enrollment.
• Review applications for completeness and accuracy.
• Schedule interviews, tests, and campus visits as part of the evaluation process.
• Marketing and Communications:
• Collaborate on marketing campaigns, including digital and print materials.
• Maintain an active presence on social media platforms and manage the admission webpage.
• Record Keeping and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate admission records and generate reports on enrollment trends.
• Analyze recruitment metrics to inform strategies for improving admissions outcomes.
• Collaboration:
• Work with teachers, administrative staff, and other departments to coordinate admission-related activities.
• Support new students and families during the onboarding process.
Skills and Competencies
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups, including students, parents, and educators.
• Organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using CRM software and basic office tools (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace).
• Knowledge of school systems, curricula, and child development is a plus.
