Job Summary
The BDM is responsible for identifying, converting, and onboarding new clients for polymer materials (e.g., Polypropylene, Polyethylene, Engineering Plastics, Masterbatches) while expanding business within existing accounts. This role involves technical sales, market research, and meeting sales targets & collections.
Key Responsibilities
New Business Generation: Actively identify and develop new business opportunities across target industries (Packaging, Automotive, FMCG, Consumer Goods).
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with industrial buyers, processors, and converters to ensure repeat business.
Technical Sales & Product Knowledge: Advise clients on product applications, specifications (e.g., PP Raffia, Polymers, Compounds), and technical requirements.
Sales Target Achievement: Meet or exceed monthly/yearly sales targets, revenue goals, and margin targets.
Market Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and supply positions to identify opportunities.
Field Visits & Networking: Perform regular site/factory visits and attend industry exhibitions to generate leads.
Reporting: Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and CRM updates to management.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Technology, Chemical Engineering, or Plastics Technology (CIPET) preferred.
Experience: 3 to 10+ years of proven experience in polymer trading, distribution, or technical sales.
Product Expertise: Experience with polymers, additives, masterbatches, or specialty fillers.
Location: Based in or willing to work in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai.

Strong B2B sales negotiation and closing skills.
Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
Technical understanding of polymer applications.
Result-oriented with a proactive, self-starter approach.
