JD for a Student Development Manager
Student Development Manager designs and implements programs supporting student academic success, personal growth, leadership, and career readiness. Key responsibilities include managing and maintaining good relationships with Parents. Student enhancing engagement through positive, monitoring development and handling drop out (withdrawal) issue of the new /existing students.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Relationship Management: Facilitate communication between students, parents and faculty. Address and resolve conflicts in a professional manner. Conduct regular feedback sessions and surveys.
Student Support: Provide mentorship, guidance, and counselling to students on academic.
Evaluation: Track student development metrics (e.g., skill matrices, performance data) to identify improvement areas.
Monitoring Student Performance: Monitoring performance of the student weekly / monthly and share student performance report.
Repo Building with Parents: Building a good relationship with the parents can be one of the important key roles. We can build trust, respect, and understanding over the time.
Active Listening & Convincing skills: The person must be a good listener and well versed with convincing (Persuasion) skills with parents.
Promote a positive, inclusive, and motivating environment.
Well versed with multiple languages such as Kannada, Tamil etc,
Flexible to conduct parent orientation to programme.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Any Bachelor’s degree is preferable.
Experience: Previous experience in student advising, training, or educational support roles.
Skills: Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational abilities.
Technical Skills: Proficient in MS-word, MS-excel and public speaking skills.
