Role Overview
An IT Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified technical talent for software, infrastructure, cloud, data, cybersecurity, and other technology-related roles. The recruiter works closely with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and ensure timely hiring of suitable candidates.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing
Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, social media, and internal databases
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of technical candidates
Use Boolean search techniques and networking strategies to identify talent
Candidate Screening
Review resumes and assess technical skill alignment
Conduct initial HR screening and evaluate communication, experience, and cultural fit
Validate technical keywords, tools, frameworks, and project experience
Coordination with Hiring Managers
Understand hiring requirements, job descriptions, and team expectations
Coordinate interview schedules between candidates and technical panels
Share candidate feedback and hiring updates with stakeholders
Recruitment Process Management
Manage end-to-end recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding
Track candidate progress in ATS/recruitment systems
Ensure smooth interview and offer processes
Offer & Negotiation
Discuss compensation, notice periods, and joining timelines
Negotiate salary within company guidelines
Handle offer rollout and joining follow-ups
