Job Summary:
The HR Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end HR operations for grocery retail stores, including recruitment, employee engagement, attendance, payroll coordination, and compliance. The role requires close coordination with store managers to ensure smooth workforce management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Staffing
Handle end-to-end recruitment for store staff (cashiers, helpers, supervisors, store managers).
Source candidates through job portals, walk-ins, and local hiring.
Conduct initial screening and coordinate interviews with store/operations team.
Ensure timely closure of open positions.
2. Onboarding & Induction
Manage joining formalities and documentation.
Conduct induction and orientation for new employees.
Maintain employee records and personal files.
3. Attendance & Payroll Support
Monitor daily attendance of store staff.
Coordinate with accounts team for salary processing.
Maintain leave records and manage approvals.
Ensure timely and accurate payroll inputs.
4. Employee Relations
Address employee queries and grievances.
Maintain discipline and ensure company policies are followed.
Conduct regular store visits for employee engagement.
5. Performance Management
Assist in performance evaluation of store staff.
Track employee productivity and behavior.
Support management in performance improvement plans.
6. Compliance & Documentation
Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Maintain statutory records (ESI, PF, etc.).
Handle audits and documentation as required.
7. Training & Development
Identify training needs for store employees.
Coordinate training sessions for customer service, billing, and store operations.
