Fertilizer Manufacturing Plant
Position Summary
The Production Engineer will lead and manage end-to-end manufacturing operations for Water Soluble Fertilizers (WSF) and Granular/Blended Fertilizers.
The role includes production planning, process optimization, raw material control, FCO compliance, lab documentation, and coordination with QA/QC to ensure quality, efficiency, and regulatory adherence.
This position requires a hands-on, technically strong professional capable of operating in a structured yet growth-oriented manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
A. Production Planning & Execution
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans (up to 30 MT/month).
Execute manufacturing of:
100% Water Soluble NPK grades
Custom blended fertilizers
Granular mixtures
Ensure accurate formulation as per grade (e.g., 19:19:19, 12:61:00, etc.).
Maintain batch-wise traceability and production records.
Ensure minimal process loss and optimum yield.
B. FCO & Regulatory Compliance (Critical Responsibility)
Ensure compliance with Fertilizer Control Order (FCO) norms.
Maintain and update:
Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR)
Raw Material COA files
Finished Goods Test Reports
Label compliance documentation
Coordinate with laboratory for:
Nutrient analysis (N, P₂O₅, K₂O, S)
Moisture testing
Physical properties
Assist in government inspections and documentation submission.
Ensure packaging and labeling as per FCO requirements.
C. Process Monitoring & Control
Monitor blending homogeneity.
Control:
Moisture levels
Particle size uniformity
Bulk density
Ensure correct mixing time and sequence of raw materials.
Improve Right First Time (RFT) production performance.
D. Inventory & Material Management
Monitor raw material consumption vs theoretical formulation.
Control RM variance %.
Maintain stock register for:
MAP, MKP, KNO₃, Urea, MOP, SOP, etc.
Packing materials
Coordinate procurement planning with Director.
Reduce dead stock and slow-moving inventory.
