Job Title: Design Engineer

Location: Vasai, Maharashtra
Department: Design & Engineering
Reports to: Head – Design / Managing Director

Job Purpose:

To design and develop process equipment and systems like vacuum homogenizers, sterile vessels, and mixing plants as per cGMP, ASME-BPE, and client specifications. Ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance of all drawings and BOMs released to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D and 3D designs of process vessels, agitators, jackets, and assemblies in AutoCAD / DRAFT SITE .

• Design according to ASME, BPE, and cGMP standards with emphasis on manufacturability and ease of maintenance.

• Create detailed fabrication drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, and part lists.

• Coordinate with the production, purchase, and QC teams for design clarification and implementation.

• Optimize designs for cost, space, and performance efficiency.

• Support R&D and product improvement for new developments and custom client requirements.

• Maintain and update design documentation, BOMs, and revision control.

• Participate in design review meetings and assist in technical proposal preparation for sales.

Skills & Competencies:

• Understanding of mechanical design, heat transfer, and pressure vessel design

• Knowledge of SS fabrication, welding symbols, and material standards (SS304, SS316L, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail, time management, and team coordination

• Ability to interpret client URS (User Requirement Specification)
