POSITION: Commis Chef- I, II, III (Continental Cuisine)

Position Summary:
A Commis Chef is a novice or apprentice position within large F & B Operations. The Commis chef assists the head chefs in preparing food while building his culinary skills and experience. Commis chefs often cycle through various positions during their tenure in order to help them learn different techniques, meaning that their duties and responsibilities vary.
A Commis Cook is an entry level position for new chefs. They work in the kitchen and generally assist the other chefs. Even though it's an entry level job, as a Commis chef you'll have lots of responsibilities when you first start working and as you gain more experience, you'll be expected to do a lot more. These are Commis chef's duties in a kitchen:
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Training and Learning
· Preparing continental cuisine dishes. Specially pizza, pizza dough, pizza sauces, pasta, salads etc.
· Food Presentation of continental cuisine based
· Food and Kitchen Mise En Place
· Assisting the Head Chef
· Kitchen Materials Receiving Deliveries
· Making Inventories, kitchen maintenance, cleanness of kitchen area
· Maintaining Safety and Hygiene
· Cleaning stations
· Assisting with stock rotation
· Measuring ingredients
· Assisting other chefs in the kitchen
· Maintain the well-groomed with chef uniforms
· Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications
