Job Responsibilities
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, desserts, and other bakery products.
Prepare pastries, creams, fillings, frostings, and dessert decorations.
Follow standard recipes, portion sizes, and presentation guidelines.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, texture, and appearance.
Monitor ingredient stock and inform the supervisor about shortages.
Ensure proper storage, labelling, and rotation of bakery ingredients.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bakery section.
Follow food safety standards and kitchen sanitation procedures.
Operate bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and other pastry tools safely.
Minimize food wastage and maintain quality standards.
Requirements
Previous experience in bakery and pastry operations.
Knowledge of baking techniques, pastry preparation, and dessert presentation.
Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards.
Good time management and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Hotel management or bakery-related qualifications preferred.
Experience
Experience required as per the position: Commis, DCDP, CDP, or Pastry Chef.
Salary
Negotiable, based on experience and skills.
