Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage core financial accounting and compliance functions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Tally, taxation, ledger scrutiny, and statutory compliance, particularly in the infrastructure, construction, or engineering domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and record purchase and expense entries accurately in Tally.

• Oversee Bills Payables & Receivables, ensuring timely processing and follow-up.

• Conduct daily Bank Reconciliation and ensure regular Debtors & Creditors Reconciliation.

• Ensure timely booking of vendor and operational bills.

• Prepare and issue sales invoices and delivery challans as per client and internal requirements.

• Handle TDS and GST calculation, payment, and timely return filing.

• Perform detailed ledger scrutiny to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management.

• Manage raw material entries, payments, and reconciliation with purchase departments.

• Maintain and update the Fixed Asset Register and ensure depreciation accounting.

• Ensure complete compliance with statutory requirements including GST, TDS, PF, ESIC, PT, and MLWF.

• Manage bank documentation related to facilities like CC limits, term loans, and other financial instruments.

• Monitor and maintain Creditor & Debtor ledgers, ensuring accurate balances.

• Weekly review and resolution of unbilled invoices and pending entries.

• Update and maintain all accounting records in Tally ERP on a regular basis.

• Manage general expense tracking and support in finalization of accounts at year-end.

• Prepare monthly stock statements and financial summaries for banking requirements including CC limit and DP calculation.

• Liaise with external auditors for audits, assessments, and statutory scrutiny.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: B. Com in Commerce (M. Com / CA Inter preferred but not mandatory)

• Software Proficiency: Tally ERP, MS Excel
