Jewellery Salesman

. Key Responsibilities

A. Sales & Target Management

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

• Develop and implement sales strategies to increase showroom revenue.

• Monitor daily sales, conversion rates, average bill value, and individual staff performance.

• Identify opportunities to increase gold, diamond, bridal, and premium jewellery sales.

• Drive repeat business, customer referrals, and upselling opportunities.

B. Team Management & Leadership

• Supervise, guide, and motivate the jewellery sales team.

• Allocate sales targets and responsibilities to team members.

• Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews.

• Train staff in customer handling, product knowledge, and sales techniques.

• Maintain staff discipline, grooming standards, attendance, and professional behaviour.

C. Customer Relationship Management

• Ensure excellent customer service and customer satisfaction.

• Handle VIP customers, high-value sales, and customer complaints.

• Build long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers.

• Ensure timely follow-up on customer enquiries and pending orders.

• Maintain customer databases and promote repeat purchases.

D. Jewellery Product Knowledge

• Maintain strong knowledge of gold, diamond, platinum, and gemstone jewellery.

• Understand gold purity, diamond 4Cs, hallmarking, certification, and jewellery pricing.

• Explain making charges, discounts, exchange policies, buyback policies, and product features.

• Keep the team updated on new collections, designs, and market trends.

E. Inventory & Stock Management

• Monitor jewellery stock, tagging, barcodes, and product movement.

• Ensure proper handling and security of high-value jewellery.

• Coordinate physical stock verification and stock reconciliation.

• Report stock discrepancies, damaged items, and inventory issues to management.

• Ensure compliance with company policies for stock transfers and jewellery custody.

F. Showroom Operations

• Ensure the showroom is clean, organised, and professionally presented.

• Monitor opening and closing procedures.

• Ensure proper product display, visual merchandising, and price-tag accuracy.

• Coordinate with billing, accounts, security, and inventory teams.

• Ensure all sales transactions follow company policies and procedures.

G. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.

• Analyse target achievement and identify reasons for sales shortfalls.

• Track staff-wise performance, customer enquiries, conversions, and pending orders.

• Share sales forecasts, market feedback, and competitor insights with management.
