Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Auction Executive who will be responsible for:
Calling prospective bidders and buyers
Promoting upcoming auctions
Sourcing buyer data from open sources (Google, websites, directories, trade portals)
Managing bidder database and call records
Supporting auction operational activities
This role requires strong communication skills, cold-calling confidence, and good working knowledge of Excel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Bidder Outreach & Cold Calling
Call potential buyers and bidders to invite participation in upcoming auctions.
Explain auction process, registration, EMD, and bidding guidelines
Follow up with inactive or past bidders
Convert cold leads into registered bidders
Maintain daily call targets and reporting
2. Data Sourcing & Lead Generation
Identify and source buyer data from:
Google search
Industry websites
Trade directories
LinkedIn and other open sources
Inhouse database
Build and update buyer lists for:
Scrap metal traders
Equipment buyers
Brokers and aggregators
Ensure data accuracy and completeness
3. Bidder Database Management
Maintain structured bidder database in Excel / CRM Tracks.
Calls made
Responses
Interested bidders
Registered bidders
Participation status
Categorize buyers by material type, region, and capacity
4. Auction Operations Support
Coordinate with operations team for:
Bidder approvals
KYC follow-ups
EMD confirmations
Share auction schedules and lot details with buyers
Assist in post-auction follow-ups
5. Reporting & MIS
Daily calling report
Weekly bidder acquisition report
Auction participation analysis
Maintain updated Excel sheets with clean data
Required Skills
Strong verbal communication skills (Hindi & English mandatory)
Confident in cold calling and tele-sales
Good knowledge of MS Excel (filters, sorting, basic formulas, data cleaning)
Internet research skills
Basic understanding of auctions / scrap industry preferred
Target-driven mindset
Eligibility Criteria
Graduate (any stream)
1–3 years' experience in:
Tele-calling
Sales coordination
Auction / scrap / industrial sales (preferred)
