This is a full-time, field-intensive role based in Mumbai, requiring 6 days of active on-ground work every week. The position demands consistent travel within the assigned geography to build business, manage relationships, and drive sales performance.
The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving business growth in Home Loan and Loan Against Property (LAP) segments by developing and managing strong sourcing channels, including builders, brokers, and real estate consultants. The role involves continuous engagement with these partners to generate high-quality leads and ensure a steady pipeline for disbursements.
A key part of the role is to build, lead, and manage a team of Relationship Officers. This includes hiring the right talent, onboarding them, and providing regular training on product knowledge, compliance, and sales strategies. The manager is expected to closely monitor team performance, guide them on-ground, and ensure both individual and team targets are consistently achieved.
The role also requires hands-on involvement in the entire loan lifecycle, from sourcing to disbursement. This includes coordinating with lending institutions, tracking files, ensuring timely processing, and resolving any bottlenecks to maintain turnaround time (TAT) efficiency.
In addition, the Area Sales Manager must actively track market trends, competitor activities, and interest rate movements, using these insights to refine sales strategies and improve conversion rates. Regular reporting on sales performance, lead funnel, and productivity is expected.
