Academic Counsellor – Inside Sales | Higher Education Admissions

Role: Academic Counsellor – Inside Sales

Experience: 1 – 6 Years | Industry: Higher Education / EdTech / Admissions

Key Responsibilities & KRAs:

Drive UG & PG offline course admissions for domestic and international university/college programs through phone, WhatsApp and virtual counselling.

Achieve monthly individual admission, application and registration targets with clear Target vs. Achievement ownership.

Conduct sufficient number of quality connected calls/day and maintain productive hours of daily talk time.

Counsel students and parents on courses, universities, eligibility, fees, career outcomes and admission process.

Generate and manage an individual sales/admission pipeline from fresh, digital and BTL-generated leads.

Ensure systematic lead follow-up, lead nurturing and conversion from Enquiry → Counselling → Application → Registration → Admission.

Maintain strong lead-to-application, application-to-registration and registration-to-admission conversion ratios.

Update CRM/Dialer regularly with calls, conversations, follow-ups, pipeline stage and next action.

Handle objections, negotiate appropriately and drive closure and fee/payment commitment.

Participate in daily huddles, performance reviews and contribute to team and individual revenue/admission goals.

Maintain high standards of student experience, counselling quality and accurate documentation throughout the admission journey.
