Job Title: Store Manager
Location: Chennai

Reports To: Area Manager / Operations Head

Job Summary:

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day operations of the store, including achieving sales targets, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, managing staff, and maintaining store standards. The role requires leadership, operational knowledge, and a deep understanding of retail and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Customer Service:

• Achieve store sales targets and KPIs.

• Ensure excellent customer service and address complaints effectively.

• Maintain strong product knowledge and ensure staff are trained on perfumes and promotions.

Team Management:

• Lead, motivate, and manage the store team.

• Handle staff scheduling, performance monitoring, and task delegation.

• Conduct regular team meetings and training sessions.

Store Operations:

• Oversee daily store activities including opening/closing procedures.

• Maintain visual merchandising and display standards.

• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and stock organization in the store.

Inventory & Cash Management:

• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse or procurement for replenishment.

• Conduct regular stock checks and handle stock discrepancies.

• Ensure accurate cash handling, billing, and end-of-day reconciliations.

Reporting & Coordination:

• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales and performance reports.

• Communicate with management regarding store performance, staff issues, and customer feedback.

• Implement company policies and operational procedures effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in retail, including 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.

• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Experience in perfumes, cosmetics, or luxury retail is a plus.

• Proficiency in POS systems and basic computer tools (Excel, Email, etc.).

• Customer-focused with a problem-solving attitude.
