Senior Resource Manager - Talent Deployment and Resourcing

Senior Resource Management is fast emerging as a support services offering of strategic importance to KPMG, providing operational support to the UK Audit & Advisory business which helps in finding the right people based on multiple factors including availability and skills . Summary of Role: This role provides a great opportunity to work as part of the Resourcing Team focusing on supply and deployment. Balancing the needs of the business and the aspirations of the individuals, which is critical for the success in this role. Managing the annual forward planning process for offshore resources including allocating portfolios to team members in line with agreed budgets. Understanding individuals’ skillsets and experiences to apply intelligent mapping for each engagement. Detailed responsibilities include: Managing supply and deployment for client facing engagements outside of forward planning process on a day-to-day basis. Strategically allocate Audit professionals to engagements based on skills, availability and project complexity. • Ensure a balanced workload across teams to prevent underutilization. • Understand the process around shortfalls, prioritizing engagements. Proactively link in with engagement managers to understand flexibility in existing bookings to move staff around to fill critical shortfalls. • Ability to quickly review a range of factors to plan on the best allocation considering e.g. availability, skills, regulatory and role requirements • Scenario planning to be able to provide a range of options and review which would provide the best overall outcome before committing Resource • Ability to manage a large volume of multiple requests at the same time w ork closely with Resource Advisors from other PGs to lend and borrow as appropriate. • 6+ years of work experience in Resourcing/Staffing. • In-depth understanding of the Resource Management process • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret numerical data • Ability to use a range of Resourcing tools • Ability to work in a high performing environment at a fast pace • Process Improvement approach to continuously drive efficiencies and improve ways of working • Resilient and capable of working in a challenging, continuously changing environment • Diligent with a focus on attention to detail • Collaborative working style • Solutions focused approach What you will bring to the role: • Strong understanding of Talent Deployment and operations in Consulting / Audit or equivalent industry • Resilient and capable of working in a challenging, continuously changing environment • Strong interpersonal skills – being able to interact well with peers and other more junior members of the team including ability to coach and performance manage. • Ability to manage large volumes, work and lead in a high performing environment, and respond positively to changing priorities • Problem solving - able to identify, influence and facilitate outcomes by helping shape a strategic viewpoint. • Discretion – demonstrate ethical behaviour, including tact, discretion and know-how to safeguard or use confidential information. • Resourceful and connected – able to connect the relevant people at the right time and build strong networks quickly – both within audit, KBS and the wider firm. • Strong MS Office Skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) Key behavioral attributes/requirements • Personal drive and positive work ethic to deliver results within tight deadlines and without compromising on quality, and ethical standards and values • Excellent people management skills with demonstrated ability to build a transparent and cohesive team • Strong commitment, multi-tasking, and strong work ethics • Self-motivated to prepare high quality work first time • Individuals must be professional, excellent communication skills - verbal and written • Work collaboratively with the clients and deliver quality services by enforcing quality and KPMG standards Experience Level Senior Level
