We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Executive / Associate to manage end-to-end payroll operations and statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with payroll software such as GreytHR or Zoho Payroll, and will ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll processing while serving as a liaison between HR, Finance, and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing including data collation, calculation, disbursement, and reporting.
Validate attendance and leave data to ensure accuracy in payroll computation.
Operate payroll systems (preferably GreytHR or Zoho Payroll) for efficient processing and documentation.
Compliance and Reporting:
Stay updated with changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements (Income Tax, Provident Fund, ESI, Professional Tax).
Ensure statutory compliance by filing monthly/quarterly returns and reports as per applicable laws.
Ensure timely preparation and distribution of Form 16 and other statutory forms.
Record Maintenance:
Maintain comprehensive and confidential employee payroll records, including earnings, deductions, and benefits.
Ensure accurate updating of master data for new hires, exits, and payroll changes.
Benefits Administration:
Administer payroll-linked benefits such as group insurance, gratuity, NPS, and other employee welfare schemes.
Coordinate with vendors for employee benefits enrolments, changes, and claims.
Employee Support & Communication:
Address employee queries related to salaries, deductions, tax declarations, and payslips.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to resolve discrepancies or escalations.
Auditing and Reconciliation:
Perform regular audits of payroll records to ensure accuracy and policy compliance.
Reconcile payroll payments, tax deductions, and statutory filings.
Process Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve payroll processes for efficiency and compliance.
Recommend best practices for automation and streamlining.
Training and Documentation:
Train employees on the use of payroll portals (e.g., ESS modules of GreytHR or Zoho).
Document payroll procedures and updates to standard operating procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in HR, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (preferred).
2 – 3+ years of relevant experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance.
Preferred experience working on GreytHR and/or Zoho Payroll.
Strong knowledge of Indian payroll laws and statutory requirements.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and payroll systems.
High level of accuracy, discretion, and data integrity.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
