Assistant Operations HR / RPSL Executive
We are looking for an Assistant Operations HR / RPSL Executive to join our team at Ali International Ship Management Private Limited. The role involves managing recruitment, HR operations, and crew documentation for the merchant navy. The ideal candidate should have experience in recruitment, employee onboarding, and HR administration, along with knowledge of DG Shipping regulations, crew documentation, and RPSL procedures. The position offers an in-hand salary of ₹10,000 - ₹20,000 with excellent learning and career growth opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and update job descriptions based on hiring requirements.
Source candidates through job portals, social media, and other recruitment channels.
Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers.
Manage recruitment and placement of officers and ratings for merchant vessels.
Verify seafarers' documents, including Passports, CDCs, STCW certificates, medical certificates, visas, and other mandatory documents.
Ensure compliance with DG Shipping regulations, MLC 2006 requirements, and company policies.
Coordinate with shipping companies, principals, ship owners, and crew members regarding manpower requirements.
Process crew documentation, joining formalities, employment agreements, and joining letters.
Arrange medical examinations, visa processing, travel bookings, and crew joining schedules.
Maintain employee records, crew databases, and HR documentation accurately.
Perform background verification and document collection for selected candidates.
Support HR operations, employee onboarding, attendance records, and administrative activities.
Assist during internal and external audits and maintain confidentiality of employee and crew information.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualification: Graduate
Experience: 1–5 years in HR Recruitment, HR Operations, or a DG Shipping Approved RPSL Company.
Knowledge of recruitment processes, candidate sourcing, and HR operations.
Practical knowledge of DG Shipping regulations, RPSL procedures, STCW Convention, MLC 2006, and merchant navy documentation is preferred.
Experience in crew recruitment, documentation, and compliance will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
Good organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must be comfortable working 6 days a week.
