Assistant Manager Early Careers Development (ECD) is a unique team within KPMG who on-board and develop our students from contract acceptance at day one, to the end of their programme and qualification. Working closely with Learning Business Partners (LBPs) and right across the Learning CoE specialists, ECD create an engaging and relevant experience for our students and help them settle into working life. The team bring deep expertise to the early years’ agenda and are responsible for bringing external thought leadership to the firm. Our team is welcoming, inclusive, self-aware, and commercial – we are here to serve our colleagues and the business agenda in support of our commercial and strategic goals . · Owning the end-to-end coordination of BAU training activities, including curriculum-based learning programmes delivered throughout the year · Aligned to relevant Capability qualifications to support the administration and query management that comes direct to the ECD team from the student population. · Provide dedicated support to students and business stakeholders on matters relating to performance, learning, health, and wellbeing. Partner closely with allocated business areas to ensure student welfare concerns are identified, triaged, managed, and resolved appropriately, with timely escalation where required. · Support the delivery of apprenticeship programmes by providing guidance on apprenticeship knowledge requirements, Off-the-Job (OTJ) training compliance, and professional institute regulations, ensuring students and stakeholders understand and meet their obligations. · Work with service providers to ensure that apprenticeship coaching process is meaningful and consistent in line with the apprenticeship standards. Escalate issues to Programme Managers to improve the coaching experience. · Manage ad hoc queries received via email, phone or mail, always considering the best approach for the student and considering whether anything could be outsourced to our KLS team, if relevant. · Be the “out of office” support for exam sittings on a rotational basis – this may include ad-hoc weekend work ‘on call’. · Assist with processing Occupational Health assessments and implementing recommendations. Role Description Supporting the ECD Team, you will assist the annual planning and delivery of the rich ECD curriculum available to all individuals on a student programme at KPMG. You will be aligned predominantly to ECD’s Qualification Managers, helping to ensure our programmes are fit for purpose, current and deliver impact. Most importantly you will act as a student contact supporting our students through all aspects of their qualification. You will also act as a key interface with the ECD Learning Operations team (KLS) ensuring that all programme materials and bookings are kept up to date. It’s a varied and hands on role; one in which you can really explore your potential and develop your core HR skills. We are looking for flexible multi-taskers and enthusiastic team players who can also be relied upon to take the initiative and solve problems on their own. Skills required · Experience in an administrative, coordination or operations role (ideally within L&D, HR or similar environment) · A bachelor's degree or international equivalent, or; · Several years’ experience in a similar role, either within Professional Services or a large, matrix-structured international firm. · Experience and passion in early careers and learning, with an understanding of human resources. · Able to work independently and collaboratively · Excellent stakeholder management skills and responsive, able to turn queries around quickly. · Strong root cause analysis skills, a keen problem solver, able to interpret data and look for insights · A great communicator, with the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels in the organisation. · Enthusiasm for building connections, self-motivated with a focus on continual improvement. · Strong experience and skills in project/programme management. · Understanding of professional qualifications and apprenticeship programmes desirable Experience Level Mid Level
