Job Role Explained

• Assist Medical Officer

• Support the doctor during check-ups, treatments, or minor procedures.

• Help in writing or updating patient notes.

• Medication Administration

• Give medicines to patients as per the doctor’s prescription.

• Watch how the patient reacts to medicines and immediately report any side effects.

• Vital Signs Monitoring

• Regularly check and record patient’s health indicators like blood pressure, pulse, oxygen level, and temperature.

• Inform doctor if anything abnormal is noticed.

• Patient Education

• Guide patients and their families about their health condition.

• Explain treatment plans, how to take medicines, and tips for healthy living.

• Collaboration with Healthcare Team

• Work as a team with doctors, other nurses, and support staff to ensure smooth patient care.

• Medical Record Keeping

• Maintain proper records of patients (medical history, diagnosis, medicines, lab reports, etc.).

• Ensure records are updated and accurate.

• Inventory Management

• Keep track of clinic supplies like medicines, syringes, gloves, and equipment.

• Order new stock when items are low.

• Check expiry dates and discard expired items.

• Report any shortage or problems in stock to the management.
