IT Hardware Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Hardware Engineer with hands-on experience in motherboard chip-level repairing and basic LAN/CCTV network wiring. The ideal candidate should be technically sound, solution-oriented, and capable of diagnosing and fixing hardware issues independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform chip-level diagnosis and repair of computer motherboards, laptops, desktops, and other IT hardware components.

• Troubleshoot and replace damaged or faulty ICs, capacitors, resistors, etc., using SMD tools and rework stations.

• Conduct hardware health checks, preventive maintenance, and component-level diagnostics.

• Carry out basic LAN cabling, patch panel terminations, and RJ-45 crimping.

• Assist in CCTV installation and cabling with basic configuration (e.g., IP camera setup, NVR connections).

• Maintain accurate service records and repair logs.

• Coordinate with the technical and sales teams for system upgrades and repairs.

• Ensure timely support for on-site repairs or installations when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience (2+ years) in chip-level repairs of PC and laptop motherboards.

• Strong understanding of electronic circuits and diagnostic tools.

• Familiarity with multimeter usage, soldering/desoldering, and component replacement.

• Experience in basic IT infrastructure wiring: LAN, CAT6 cabling, crimping, and CCTV layouts.

• Knowledge of networking basics (IP addresses, switches, NVRs, routers) is a plus.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a service team.

• Diploma or Certification in Electronics, Hardware, or related technical field preferred.
