Job Description: Supply Chain Coordinator
Department: Operations
Location: Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai

Role Overview: The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for ensuring smooth end-to-end material flow across procurement, outsourcing, inventory, and dispatch.
The role includes execution, coordination, vendor management, and commercial negotiations to ensure timely availability of materials and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Material Planning & Coordination:
- Understand material requirements from production plans
- Ensure availability of raw materials and components
- Track material status across all stages

2. Purchase & Outsourcing Coordination:
- Handle vendor follow-ups and PO execution
- Manage outsourced processes (laser cutting, etc.)
- Ensure timely delivery and quality compliance

3. Commercial Negotiation:
- Negotiate pricing, delivery timelines, and terms with vendors
- Work towards cost optimization and better commercial terms
- Support vendor development and comparison

4. Inventory & Stores Coordination:
- Coordinate with stores for inward and stock tracking
- Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages/excess

5. Dispatch & Logistics Coordination:
- Coordinate dispatch schedules and transporter follow-ups
- Ensure timely shipment of orders

6. Order Tracking & Follow-ups:
- Track all active orders and identify delays
- Escalate issues to Operations Manager

7. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain purchase, vendor, and material records
- Prepare regular status reports

Skills Required:

- Understanding of supply chain and procurement processes
- Strong negotiation and vendor handling skills
- Good coordination and follow-up ability
- Basic Excel and reporting skills

Experience & Qualification:

3–6 years of experience in supply chain / purchase / operations coordination in manufacturing

Success Metrics:

- Material availability as per plan
- Vendor cost optimization
- Reduction in delays and stockouts
- Timely completion of outsourced jobs
- Contribution to OTIF
