Quality Assurance (QA) Assistant Manager / Manager

Salary: ₹45,000 - ₹50,000 per month
About the Role:
We are a leading automotive plastic parts manufacturing company looking for an experienced and detail-oriented QA Assistant Manager/Manager. The successful candidate will lead the quality assurance team to ensure the highest product standards, compliance with automotive industry regulations, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.
Lead and manage the QA team to implement quality control processes specific to automotive plastic parts manufacturing.
Develop, monitor, and enforce quality standards, processes, and inspection protocols aligned with ISO/TS 16949 and other relevant automotive industry standards.
Oversee in-process inspections, final product inspections, and audits to ensure defect-free production.
Coordinate with production, engineering, and procurement teams to resolve quality issues related to raw materials, tooling, and finished goods.
Analyze product failure data and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to continually improve product quality.
Manage calibration of testing instruments and ensure traceability of quality records.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and other quality methodologies tailored to automotive plastics manufacturing.
Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements and regulatory standards.
Prepare and present quality reports, audit results, and compliance documentation to senior management and customers.
Train and mentor QA staff to enhance their technical skills and awareness about automotive industry quality norms.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Plastics Technology, or related field.
Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in quality assurance within the automotive parts manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of ISO/TS 16949, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and other automotive quality standards.
Familiarity with plastic material properties, molding processes, and defect analysis is highly desirable.
Experience with quality inspection tools and metrology equipment used in plastics manufacturing.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and team leadership skills.
Strong communication skills for collaborating across departments and with external customers.
Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
