Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced QC Manager to lead and manage quality control operations, laboratory activities, testing, documentation, and compliance for pharmaceutical, herbal, nutraceutical, and botanical products.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise day-to-day Quality Control laboratory operations.
Develop, implement, and monitor QC procedures, specifications, and testing protocols.
Ensure testing of raw materials, packaging materials, in-process materials, finished products, and stability samples.
Review and approve laboratory test reports, COAs, analytical results, and QC documentation.
Ensure compliance with applicable GMP, GLP, ISO, FSSAI, FDA, and other regulatory requirements.
Handle and review OOS (Out of Specification), OOT (Out of Trend), deviations, CAPA, and change controls.
Maintain proper laboratory documentation, records, and data integrity.
Ensure calibration and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
Supervise and guide QC officers, analysts, and laboratory staff.
Coordinate with QA, Production, R&D, Purchase, and other departments for quality-related activities.
Evaluate and approve raw material and finished product specifications.
Ensure proper sampling, testing, retention sample management, and stability studies.
Support internal, customer, certification, and regulatory audits.
Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and assist in root-cause analysis.
Ensure timely release of raw materials and finished products based on approved specifications.
Maintain laboratory safety, housekeeping, and compliance standards.
Train QC team members on analytical methods, SOPs, GMP, GLP, and laboratory practices.
Prepare and review QC-related SOPs, specifications, test methods, and reports.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of Quality Control and laboratory operations.
Good understanding of GMP, GLP, SOPs, specifications, and analytical testing.
Knowledge of HPLC, GC, UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, FTIR, moisture analysis, and other laboratory instruments.
Strong documentation and analytical skills.
Knowledge of OOS, OOT, CAPA, deviation, change control, and investigation procedures.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to manage laboratory activities and meet testing timelines.
Educational Qualification
M.Sc. Chemistry / M.Pharm / B.Pharm / B.Sc. Chemistry or relevant qualification.
Candidates with relevant experience in pharmaceutical, herbal, nutraceutical, botanical, or food manufacturing will be preferred.
