Job Title: Quality Control Engineer - Steel Fabrication / Bulk Material Handling Equipments
Job Location: Bahadurgarh, Haryana.
Job Summary: The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the quality and integrity of conveyor components and structure during the fabrication process. This role involves implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, collaborating with fabrication and engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and specifications. The Quality Control Engineer plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality bulk material handling equipments that meet customer requirements and regulatory expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Quality Control and Assurance:
• Develop, implement, and monitor quality control processes and procedures for steel fabrication operations.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits at various stages of fabrication to ensure compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.
• Identify non-conformities, defects, and deviations from quality standards, and initiate corrective and preventive actions.
2. Welding and Fabrication Inspection:
• Perform visual and non-destructive testing (NDT) of welded joints, connections, and fabricated steel parts.
3. Quality Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of inspection results, quality control processes, and corrective actions taken.
• Generate detailed reports, certificates, and documentation required for compliance and customer deliverables.
• Communicate quality-related information effectively to cross-functional teams and management.
• Evaluate and assess the quality of raw materials and components received from suppliers.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, ensuring their adherence to quality standards and specifications.
4. Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay up-to-date with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations related to steel fabrication.
• Ensure that all fabrication activities meet regulatory requirements and certifications.
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of steel materials, welding processes, and fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards specific to steel fabrication.
• Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and equipment used in steel fabrication.
• Proficiency in quality management systems and tools.
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accurate documentation and reporting.
• Previous experience in bulk material handling equipments industry is a plus.
The jobs require local travelling , so candidates with own conveyance shall be given preference .
