Job Summary:

The Purchase Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services required for company operations. The role ensures timely procurement at the best quality, price, and delivery terms while maintaining vendor relationships and compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities:

• Identify and evaluate suppliers/vendors.

• Obtain quotations and compare prices, quality, and delivery schedules.

• Prepare purchase orders and follow up for timely delivery.

• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and contracts.

• Maintain inventory levels by coordinating with stores/production departments.

• Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.

• Verify invoices, delivery challans, and purchase documentation.

• Ensure purchased items meet quality standards and specifications.

• Track market trends and cost-saving opportunities.

• Prepare procurement reports and MIS.

• Resolve supplier issues related to shortages, damages, or delays.

• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply chain or related field.

• 3-5 years' experience in food processing industry/herbal/nutraceuticals or a related field.

· Good negotiation and communication skills.

· Strong analytical and vendor management skills.

· Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting tools.

Preferred skills:

· Cost Analysis & Time Management

· Vendor Development & Documentation Control

· Contract negotiation
