The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of material handling equipment projects from concept to commissioning. The role requires coordination between design, manufacturing, procurement, and site teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards.
Project Planning & Execution
Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for material handling equipment manufacturing & installation projects.
Allocate resources and define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Ensure timely execution as per contractual requirements.
Team & Vendor Coordination
Coordinate between design, electrical, mechanical, and procurement teams.
Liaise with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow.
Conduct regular review meetings to track progress and resolve issues.
Site Management
Oversee installation, erection, testing, and commissioning of equipment like conveyors, cranes, hoists, and automated handling systems.
Ensure adherence to site safety, quality, and compliance standards.
Cost & Risk Management
Monitor project costs to prevent budget overruns.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain all project-related documentation including progress reports, minutes of meetings, and as-built drawings.
Present regular project status updates to management and clients.
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
3–5+ years of project management experience in material handling equipment manufacturing or heavy industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical assemblies, electrical systems, and industrial installation processes.
Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and ERP systems.
PMP or equivalent certification (preferred).
