Role Summary
The PPC (Production Planning & Control) Executive is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and controlling the production process to ensure timely delivery, optimal utilization of machines and manpower, and minimum wastage. The role acts as a bridge between sales, stores, production, and dispatch.

Key Responsibilities
Production Planning
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on sales orders, forecasts, and priorities.
Break customer orders into batch-wise and machine-wise production plans.
Plan production considering machine capacity, cycle time, changeover time, and manpower availability.
Ensure alignment between production targets and delivery commitments.
Production Control
Monitor actual production vs planned production on a daily basis.
Track WIP (Work-in-Progress) and identify bottlenecks or delays.
Take corrective actions in coordination with production supervisors to meet targets.
Ensure smooth flow of material from one process to the next.
Material Planning & Coordination
Coordinate with Stores / Purchase to ensure timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and packaging.
Generate material requirement plans (MRP) based on production schedules.
Avoid material shortages or excess inventory through proper planning.
Inter-Department Coordination
Coordinate with Sales / CRM for order priorities, delivery schedules, and changes.
Coordinate with Quality for inspection planning and rejection analysis.
Coordinate with Dispatch / Logistics for readiness of finished goods.
Data Management & Reporting
Maintain production data in ERP / Excel / Google Sheets.
Prepare and share daily reports such as:
Production Plan vs Actual
Machine Utilization
Rejection & Rework Report
Pending Orders Status
Support management with data for decision-making.
Continuous Improvement
Identify process inefficiencies and suggest improvements to reduce lead time and costs.
Support lean manufacturing, productivity improvement, and capacity optimization initiatives.
Help standardize planning formats, reports, and SOPs.

Required Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production flow
Knowledge of capacity planning, scheduling, and inventory control
Good command over Excel / Google Sheets (formulas, reports, dashboards preferred)
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities
Strong coordination and communication skills
Analytical and problem-solving mindset

Educational Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or related field
MBA / PG Diploma in Operations (preferred but not mandatory)

Experience
1–5 years of experience in PPC / Production Planning / Operations
Experience in manufacturing industry (cables, power cords, electricals, plastics, automotive, appliances preferred)
