Production Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an Minimum 6+ Years experienced Production Manager to oversee day-to-day fabrication shop operations. The candidate must have strong technical drawing knowledge, hands-on experience in fabrication processes, and the ability to manage manpower, materials, and production schedules efficiently.

The role demands strong coordination with planning, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure timely and quality production output.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning & Execution

·         Plan and execute daily production activities as per targets and schedules.

·         Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.

·         Monitor production progress and resolve bottlenecks.

2. Drawing & Technical Understanding

·         Read and interpret fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and shop drawings.

·         Guide supervisors and workers based on drawing requirements.

·         Ensure fabrication is carried out as per approved technical specifications.

3. Fabrication Process Supervision

·         Oversee operations such as cutting, bending, rolling, welding, assembly, and fit-up.

·         Ensure correct fabrication sequence and process discipline.

·         Monitor dimensional accuracy and structural alignment.

4. Manpower Management

·         Supervise shop floor workers, welders, fitters, and helpers.

·         Allocate work effectively and ensure productivity.

·         Maintain discipline and safety practices on the shop floor.

5. Coordination with Quality & Stores

·         Work closely with the QC team to ensure in-process quality checks.

·         Coordinate with stores for material availability.

·         Minimize rework and production delays.

6. Safety & Housekeeping

·         Ensure adherence to industrial safety standards and PPE usage.

·         Maintain proper housekeeping and 5S practices.

7. Reporting

·         Maintain daily production reports.

·         Report production status, delays, and issues to management.
