Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – HVAC & Validation

Location: Navi Mumbai

Role Overview

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer with strong fundamentals in HVAC design, psychrometrics, and project documentation. The role involves working on specialized environmental control systems for pharmaceutical facilities and data centers, including design, calculations, drawings, and validation documentation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering & Design

• Perform heat load calculations for HVAC systems (comfort & process cooling)

• Plot and analyze psychrometric charts for precise humidity and temperature control (low RH applications preferred)

• Select and size HVAC equipment (AHUs, DX systems, chillers, etc.)

• Prepare system design concepts based on project requirements

2. Drawings & Technical Deliverables

• Create detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD (GA drawings, piping layouts, ducting layouts, schematics)

• Coordinate with internal teams for design finalization

• Prepare as-built drawings post project completion

3. Pharmaceutical Documentation (Critical)

• Prepare and execute documentation for:

  • DQ (Design Qualification)

  • IQ (Installation Qualification)

  • OQ (Operational Qualification)

• Ensure compliance with GMP / regulatory standards

• Develop SOPs, protocols, and validation reports

4. Data Center Documentation

• Prepare:

  • QAP (Quality Assurance Plans)

  • Method statements

  • Technical submittals

• Support documentation for precision cooling systems and high-reliability environments

5. Project Coordination

• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients

• Support commissioning activities and troubleshooting

• Assist in preparing technical proposals and BOQs

Required Skills & Competencies

Core Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of psychrometrics and HVAC fundamentals

• Experience in heat load calculations

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)

• Familiarity with HVAC system design (DX / chilled water systems)

Documentation Skills (Very Important)

• Hands-on experience with:

  • Pharma validation documentation (DQ/IQ/OQ)

  • Data center documentation (QAP, method statements)

• Strong technical writing and documentation ability

Software Skills

• AutoCAD (2D) – Mandatory

• MS Excel (for calculations & reports)

• MS Word (for documentation)

• HAP / equivalent software (good to have)

Experience Required

• 2–5 years (relevant HVAC / pharma / cleanroom / data center experience preferred)

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BE / BTech)

Preferred Profile (Bonus)

• Experience in low humidity systems (below 50% RH)

• Exposure to cleanrooms / dry rooms/lithium battery environments

• Site experience in commissioning & validation
