Mechanical Designer

Responsibilities:

• Develop and conceptualize mechanical equipment as per project requirements.

• Prepare detailed mechanical specifications to meet performance and design targets.

• Participate in or lead design reviews and validation activities.

• Evaluate components, perform material selection, and ensure design accuracy.

• Prepare manufacturing drawings with appropriate tolerances and GD&T.

• Design and handle steel structures, weldments, mechanical joints, and power transmission systems.

• Select bought-out components suitable for automation and machinery.

• Collaborate with Assembly, Quality Control, and Machine Shop teams.

• Work on automation system design, machine design, and special-purpose machinery (SPMs, conveyors, etc.).

• Apply strong fundamentals in engineering calculations.

• Use SolidWorks (mandatory) and AutoCAD for design and drafting.

Key Skills:

• Proficiency in SolidWorks (mandatory) and AutoCAD.

• Hands-on experience in SPM design, conveyors, and automation systems.

• Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and mechanical design principles.

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

• Hardworking and open to extended working hours when required.

• Willing to relocate if necessary.
